Biography: Leni Gurin
For over twenty years Leni Gurin has helped leaders and teams effectively manage change, improve their own and their organization’s performance, and enjoy greater professional and personal satisfaction.
Prior to founding LGA Consultants, Inc. in the DC area in 1987, Leni spent over 10 years serving clients across the US as a management consultant, coach and manager with Big 6 accounting firms in New York and Denver as well as with A T Kearney, Management Consultants in their Cleveland office. Leni has also worked as an internal organizational development (OD) consultant and trainer, sales effectiveness trainer/consultant, and Director of OD consulting for a federal contractor.
Leni is known for being an exceptionally quick study, for her ability to facilitate collaboration across diverse organizational functions and levels, and for her creative energy and generous spirit. She has coached and consulted to numerous senior leaders and management teams in both the private and public sectors to plan and execute complex change and accomplish strategic, operational and organizational goals through collaboration. She specializes in helping professional services leaders and teams transition to their next level, with a practical approach that develops both management strengths and relationship skills.
Clients have ranged from multi-billion dollar commercial enterprises and Federal agencies to local police departments and non-profit social service providers and art centers, including architects, lawyers, scientists, IT and HR specialists, consultants, economists and statisticians.
A graduate of Vassar College, Leni has both a masters in Organizational Development and certificate as a Fellow in Change Management from Johns Hopkins University.
Leni’s professional coach certification is through the Newfield Network and the International Coach Federation. She is also certified to deliver the Myers Briggs Type Instrument, DiSC, DDI's Interaction Management training series and other leadership development instruments and programs. She is an active member of the Metro DC Chapter of the International Coach Federation and the Chesapeake Bay OD Network.
Leni is an integrator. Her background and expertise uniquely combine to enable clients to produce results that meet both human and business needs. Drawing on many different tools and approaches, Leni tailors each engagement according to the client's current operating realities and desired outcomes rather than promoting specific packaged products or programs.
Leni resides in the Washington, D.C. area with her husband, daughter, dog and three cats, and enjoys travelling, painting, skiing, hiking, cooking, singing, reading, watching movies and hanging out with friends.
